During this crisis we have seen and felt what really matters. Together we can work towards a country in which we care for each other. Together we can help to build a just society taking better care of creation.
Below you'll find our 20 hopeful choices for what really matters, a brief summary of our programma for these elections.
As a resident of Haarlem I will devote myself in the House of Representatives to these goals for the region:
- More affordable housing
- Better and sustainable transportation by investing in public transport and biking facilities.

Care for what really matters
1. We long for a society in which we pay attention to each other and to God's creation. We stand for a government that is an ally of citizens and chooses what really counts.
2. We see the Netherlands as a country of shared values. With room to differ from each other, but also a joint responsibility for our democracy and the rule of law. We stand for (spiritual) freedoms, such as freedom of religion and education.
3. We want there to be more room to look after each other. Not always work, work, work, but also time for family and family life, volunteer work and informal care.
4. We rely on the resilience of society and strengthen bottom-up initiatives. Caring villages, city districts, neighborhoods and citizen cooperatives are given all the space and support from the government to mutually provide good care, sustainable energy or keep a community center open.
5. We want to organize healthcare closer to the region, so that healthcare providers know each other, work together better and patients have more influence. We want good, meaningful care and more money for prevention. With an eye for the limits to the malleability of our lives.
Care for each other
6. We stand for the protectiveness of life, from the beginning to the end. We ensure that people can age with dignity and stand up for unborn life, with better help and guidance.
7. We work on education that brings gifts and talents to fruition. We want less pressure to perform on young people, which is why we are abolishing the loan system. Good education, more say and appreciation for teachers and room for parents to choose a school that suits their philosophy of life.
8. We fight for justice for people in a vulnerable position, because every human being is valuable and created in God's image. This means, for example, that we do not ignore the great injustice of human trafficking in prostitution. And that we stand up for a drug-free society, in which the lives of young people are no longer destroyed by the drug mafia.
9. We want a fairer migration policy, with more grip. In which we generously receive vulnerable refugees and put an end to inhumane circumstances such as on Lesbos. Dealing more strictly with labor migration and the injustice associated with it. And better integration through small-scale local reception, instead of large asylum seekers' centers.
10. We opt for an economy in which not maximum growth, but the development of people and society is central. With room for (family) companies to operate sustainably and a labor market with fewer differences and more security.
An economy with focus on people
11. We want the government to be aware of all corners and regions of our country. With substantial investments in better regional infrastructure and regional deals that strengthen our communities.
12. We want to fight poverty in our country. With a higher minimum wage, higher social security benefits, a home as soon as possible in the face of homelessness and an offensive against the debt industry.
13. We propose a major change in the tax system. We want a fair, understandable, green and friendly system for families and single people, where work pays off. Without surcharges and instead a simple basic discount, which is paid monthly.
14. We fight for the opportunities of starters and young families on the housing market. And also for more homes in which people can age with dignity. For a healthy housing market, in which unjust differences between buyers and tenants disappear and everyone can find an affordable and sustainable home.
15. We want more thought about how we organize our beautiful country. The national government must again make guiding choices about the location of homes, agriculture, nature, transport and energy.
Taking better care of creation
16. We aim for a circular economy and a society without waste. Stop the throwaway economy and fix more.
17. We want to take big steps towards a climate neutral society, and take real responsibility for God's creation. That means: helping people to make their homes more sustainable, less polluting industry, more electric cars, better train connections, less flying and much more sustainable energy.
18. We opt for circular agriculture and more space for nature in our country. We plant much more forest and ensure that farmers can earn a fair and sustainable living.
19. We want more cooperation in Europe on migration, climate and foreign policy. We want a Europe that keeps to agreements, but also more national say over European decisions.
20. We stand up for peace and justice in the world. By fighting poverty through development cooperation and by promoting fair trade. And we stand up for religion freedom, anytime, anywhere.
